(ABCOP) and to have our facility measured against the most rigorous standards in the profession.

ABCOP’s Accreditation Standards are the benchmark for measuring post-mastectomy care centers. Our patient care facility has been successfully evaluated by an ABOP onsite practice consultant on over 140 standards that directly correlate to the care we are providing. The standards are periodically reviewed and updated to ensure that they remain consistent with changes in post-mastectomy care practices and technology.

To be accredited by ABCOP, our Margate, Florida facility must demonstrate an exceptional level of care and client service. ABCOP’s standards cover every aspect of our practice to ensure your satisfaction with the level of care you receive.

Here are a few examples of how ABC’s standards impact you:

• The standards require us to develop a system for effective communication with your referring physician. This ensures that there is no misunderstanding or miscommunication about your needs and goals.
• Policies and procedures have been established and reviewed to assist in effective communication with your Doctor, Therapist, or other referral sources.
• We also perfom a diagnosis-specific clinical examination to validate the need and suitability of the prescribed products.
• ABCOP standards also require that medical records be thorough and complete which helps us to better understand your current and future prosthetic needs, as well as the impact of your device on your quality of life goals.
